Vendor Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 4/27/2026
Welcome to the FriendBeacon Marketplace. FriendBeacon is a community-driven platform built to support independent creators, builders, designers, educators, researchers, and innovators who want to share products, knowledge, tools, and resources with a mission-focused audience.
By applying to become a vendor on FriendBeacon, you agree to the following Vendor Terms & Conditions.
1. Vendor Eligibility
All vendors must be approved by FriendBeacon before selling products on the platform. FriendBeacon reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or remove any vendor account at its discretion to protect the quality, safety, and integrity of the marketplace.
Vendors are expected to provide accurate account information, maintain a professional storefront, and only list products they have the legal right to sell.
2. Product Standards
Vendors may sell approved physical products, digital downloads, 3D printing files, schematics, educational resources, handmade items, tools, designs, guides, and other products that align with the purpose of the FriendBeacon Marketplace.
All listings must include accurate descriptions, clear pricing, appropriate images, and honest information about what the buyer will receive.
FriendBeacon may remove any product listing that is misleading, low-quality, unsafe, illegal, offensive, spam-like, or inconsistent with the mission of the platform.
3. Prohibited Products
Vendors may not sell products that violate applicable laws, infringe on intellectual property rights, promote scams, contain stolen content, or create unreasonable safety, legal, or reputational risk for FriendBeacon.
FriendBeacon reserves the right to review and remove any listing at any time.
4. Commissions & Marketplace Fees
Vendor commissions are calculated according to the current commission settings assigned to the vendor account.
As part of the launch period, FriendBeacon may offer special founding vendor commission rates to approved early vendors. Standard vendor commission rates may apply after the launch period or after promotional vendor slots are filled.
Payment processing fees, refund fees, chargeback fees, tax-related fees, or third-party payment provider fees may apply and are separate from FriendBeacon’s marketplace commission.
5. Subscriber Discounts
FriendBeacon may offer marketplace discounts to paid subscribers on eligible vendor products.
When FriendBeacon funds a subscriber discount, the discount may be absorbed from FriendBeacon’s marketplace commission rather than reducing the vendor’s standard payout, unless otherwise agreed or unless a vendor voluntarily participates in a separate promotional discount.
FriendBeacon reserves the right to limit discounts on certain products, vendors, categories, or promotional offers.
6. Vendor Payments
Vendor payouts are processed according to the payment and payout system connected to the FriendBeacon Marketplace. Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their payout information is accurate and up to date.
Payout timing may vary depending on payment processor rules, order status, refund periods, chargeback review, fraud prevention, or administrative review.
FriendBeacon may delay or withhold payouts when necessary due to suspected fraud, policy violations, refund disputes, chargebacks, or incomplete vendor information.
7. Taxes & Legal Responsibilities
Vendors are independent sellers and are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes associated with their sales, income, business activity, or products.
Vendors may be required to provide tax information before receiving payouts. FriendBeacon may collect tax-related information when required by law, payment processors, or marketplace compliance requirements.
Vendors are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws related to their products, business operations, shipping, digital goods, tax obligations, and customer communications.
8. Shipping, Fulfillment & Digital Delivery
Vendors are responsible for fulfilling their own physical product orders accurately and within the timeframe stated in their product listing.
For digital products, vendors are responsible for ensuring that files are functional, accessible, accurately described, and delivered as promised.
Vendors must communicate professionally with customers regarding order issues, delays, file problems, or fulfillment concerns.
9. Refunds, Disputes & Customer Support
Vendors are responsible for handling reasonable customer support requests related to their products.
FriendBeacon may assist with disputes, refunds, chargebacks, or customer complaints when necessary. FriendBeacon reserves the right to issue refunds or take action on an order if a product is not delivered, is significantly misrepresented, violates platform standards, or creates a customer protection issue.
Repeated refund issues, poor communication, or unresolved customer complaints may result in vendor account review or suspension.
10. Intellectual Property
Vendors must only upload and sell products, files, media, descriptions, images, designs, and resources they own or have permission to use.
By uploading content to FriendBeacon, vendors grant FriendBeacon permission to display, promote, market, and feature their products on the platform, in marketplace pages, in promotional materials, and across related FriendBeacon channels.
Vendors retain ownership of their original intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11. Community Conduct
FriendBeacon is a community-focused platform. Vendors are expected to interact with customers, members, and other vendors respectfully.
Harassment, threats, spam, deceptive behavior, abusive language, or attempts to manipulate the marketplace may result in removal from the vendor program.
12. Account Suspension or Removal
FriendBeacon may suspend or remove a vendor account for reasons including but not limited to:
- Selling prohibited or misleading products
- Repeated refund or chargeback issues
- Customer complaints
- Intellectual property violations
- Fraudulent activity
- Failure to fulfill orders
- Abuse of platform features
- Violation of these Vendor Terms
FriendBeacon may remove listings, restrict payouts, or close vendor access when necessary to protect the marketplace.
13. Changes to Vendor Terms
FriendBeacon may update these Vendor Terms & Conditions as the marketplace grows. Vendors are responsible for reviewing updates and continuing to follow the current terms.
Continued use of the vendor platform after changes are posted means the vendor accepts the updated terms.
14. Agreement
By applying to become a FriendBeacon vendor, creating a vendor account, uploading products, or selling through the marketplace, you agree to follow these Vendor Terms & Conditions.
FriendBeacon’s goal is to build a fair, mission-driven marketplace where creators, builders, and innovators can sell with more freedom, more community support, and a stronger connection to the people they serve.
